When you suddenly have severe pain
You can help yourself and minimize your pain by:
- Keep moving and change positions often.
- use an ice pack, e.g. a bag of peas with a tea towel around it, for about 15 minutes
- max once an hour, preferably 3 times a day or every 3 hours.
- Preferably continue your daily activities.
- Avoid sitting too much.
You can buy cooling cream and ice packs at the clinic.

There are no chiropractors in the emergency rooms, but you can call the Chiropractor on Call if you need urgent treatment on weekends or holidays.
