Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how I collect and use the personal information that I receive from you as a patient or from third parties about you.

This data policy informs you of your rights when I process your personal data. It also informs you of how I collect, process and disclose your personal data.

1. The purpose

The purpose of collecting, processing and disclosing your personal information is to:

  1. Could give you the agreed treatment,
  2. Handle payment for your treatments, including settlement with health insurance,
  3. Obtain and disclose some of your health information, to you and to other healthcare professionals who may lawfully collect your health information,
  4. Disclose information to insurance companies, the health insurance "Denmark" (separate consent is given in these cases).

2. Personal data

Personal data is information that can be attributed to you as an individual.

I collect personal information about you in order to fulfill our agreement regarding your treatment.

I collect the information contained in your health insurance card, including name, address, age, gender, CPR number and information about your doctor.

I also collect your email address and phone number so that I can contact you and send you notifications about your appointments with me.

I collect your CPR number in order to report your bills to Health Insurance “Danmark”, to settle with your insurance company and to be able to report to the public health insurance.

I collect and process your health information in accordance with the rules in Section 7(3) of the Danish Data Protection Act. I do this because I am subject to a duty of confidentiality, cf. the relevant rules in the Danish Health Act: You can read more about this at the following link:

I collect and process the necessary information about your health that you provide to us.

I also collect and process health information about you that I obtain through my examinations and treatment of you.

With your prior verbal consent, I also collect, if necessary for the sake of your treatment, health information from other healthcare professionals. This could be, for example, your own doctor, hospital or other healthcare provider.

The information I collect about you is information that I consider necessary to be able to treat you.

In the following, the above information is referred to as personal data.

3. Who do I share your personal information with?

I make the information in your medical record available to other healthcare professionals so that, with your consent, they can obtain the health information we have collected and processed about you.

I may also disclose your personal data in anonymized form for statistical or scientific use (separate consent is given).

When I disclose/make your personal data available to other healthcare professionals, their/their employer becomes the data controller for the personal data received. They must fulfil their own information obligation towards you so that you are aware of the purposes for which they process your personal data.

4. Deletion of your personal information

I store and process your personal information as long as you are an active patient with me and as long as I am required to keep your medical records.

5. Safety and protection

I have established and maintain appropriate organizational and technical measures so that your personal data is not accidentally or unlawfully deleted, degraded or lost, nor is it disclosed to unauthorized third parties or otherwise misused or used in violation of personal data legislation.

I have internal rules and instructions that ensure that only persons, including processors, who have a strictly business purpose, have access to your personal data.

6. Your rights

You have the right at any time to be informed about what personal data I have collected, stored and processed about you and to receive a copy of it.

You can at any time request correction, object or restrict the processing of your personal data.

You have the right to have your personal data deleted at any time, cf. however, point 4.

You have the right to revoke your consent in whole or in part at any time.

Your rights under this data policy do not affect your rights under the Health Act, including your right to access your full medical record.
