Treating osteoarthritis using manipulation therapy
Do you need help treating osteoarthritis? At Chiropractic Clinic, Ulla Kjær Knudsen we treat osteoarthritis effectively and have many clients from Vallensbæk, Brøndby and Albertslund. We relieve the pain by manipulating the affected joints, a treatment that often has an analgesic effect, especially for long-term pain in the back or lower back.
Osteoarthritis is a chronic rheumatic disease in which the cartilage in the joints gradually breaks down. The causes can vary, but the disease is seen more often with age. Obesity and genetic factors may also play a role. Osteoarthritis can affect many different joints in the body, including the knees, hips, neck, and hands.
We offer manipulation treatments that can relieve the pain of osteoarthritis. In addition, we can supplement the treatment with laser therapy and a personal exercise program that helps strengthen the affected areas and improve your quality of life.

What is osteoarthritis?
Osteoarthritis, also known as osteoarthritis, is a degenerative joint disease in which the cartilage in the joints gradually breaks down. Cartilage acts as a shock absorber and helps ensure that the joints move smoothly. When cartilage wears down, the bones can start to rub directly against each other, which can lead to pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility.
Osteoarthritis can affect many different areas of the body, but it is often seen in the:
- Knee: Very common, especially in the elderly.
- Hips: Can lead to significant pain and difficulty walking.
- Hands and fingers: Can lead to deformities and loss of function.
- The spine: Especially in the neck and lower back, which can lead to back pain and stiffness.
Osteoarthritis can range in severity, from mild discomfort to severe disability, depending on how advanced the disease is and which joints are affected.
